Tarek Fadel, Founder and Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Tarek Fadel is responsible for the overall management and performance of FADEL, driving its long term strategic plan as well as overseeing the day-to-day management of the corporation. Prior to founding FADEL in 2003, Tarek was a Director of Consulting at Oracle Corporation with over 20 years of experience building, selling and implementing enterprise software applications. He managed a consulting practice for Oracle responsible for the success of several large client implementations, and held the position of Director of Product Management releasing several Oracle CRM products. Tarek also worked at Cambridge Technology Group and played a major role in deploying its enterprise application server products to the market. Tarek holds a technology patent for his work on Method and Apparatus for e-Commerce Integration Architecture and Process. He has a bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Science from the City University of New York and an MBA from Columbia University.
David Feuerstein is responsible for FADEL’s operational efficiency, as well as the solution delivery process, customer experience and partner enablement. As Chief Operating Officer, David will define and enforce operations, procedures and systems to meet market demands and support the company’s growth strategy. He is in charge of the company’s management initiatives, including continuous process improvement through the use of innovative methodologies, competency training, and regular customer experience. Prior to FADEL, David worked at Chordiant Software as a Consultancy Services Manager where he managed key client relationships and SOA implementations in the Fortune 10 Financial Services and Telecom verticals. He spent six years at Oracle, where he led enterprise integration and ERP technology teams. Prior to Oracle, he spent seventeen years at Digital Equipment Corporation, where he held various leadership positions in consulting, sales and engineering. David attended the University of Massachusetts College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He is the recipient of multiple awards and is co-author of a U.S. patent for methods and apparatus for implementing internet storefronts to provide integrated functions.
Paul Gore is responsible for ensuring successful project implementations for FADEL’s top tier clients, many of them leaders in their respective industries. By working closely with customers to deploy and implement FADEL software to meet an organization’s business requirements and processes, Paul will look to maximize client satisfaction. Prior to joining the company, Paul was CIO at FADEL client Chronicle Books, technology executive and later CTO at Hachette Books, and the Director of Advanced Technology at Time Warner Book Group. He brings decades of publishing industry experience along with significant expertise optimizing technology and business processes to automate the end-to-end process of managing and monetizing rights and royalties.
Mercedes is responsible for FADEL’s global HR function. Her focus is on empowering employees and cultivating an entrepreneurial collaborative culture. Mercedes brings over 10 years of global HR and entrepreneurial experience to support the FADEL team. Her background includes international executive level technology recruiting in London, UK and establishing and growing strategic HR functions within marketing, media and software firms in the US and globally. She has lived and worked in Bahrain, Holland, Hungary, United Kingdom, and the United States; as well as remotely managed offices in China, Denmark, Germany and India. Mercedes earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Pedagogy at Eotvos Lorand University in Hungary and holds Senior Professional HR and Global Professional HR certificates from HRCI.
Mike Knaeble, Head of Sales
Mike Knaeble is responsible for the growth and profitability of corporate sales at FADEL as well as fostering excellence in client relations. Bringing over 25 years of sales and leadership experience, Mike manages the teams responsible for direct and inside sales, solution consulting and channel partnerships. Prior to FADEL, Mike worked in the digital content space including time at OpenText, Hyland Software, Hershey Systems and his own company for 15 years with a content and BPM solutions consulting practice. Mike has a Masters in Business from Pepperdine University and a Bachelors from California State University, Fullerton.
Devi is responsible for developing and executing a marketing and communications strategy to support FADEL’s business growth and enhance its brand awareness. She manages all marketing functions including market positioning, branding, communications, demand generation and strategic alliances. Devi brings over 20 years in the technology industry having run the marketing departments at software firms Prolifics, Capital Banking Solutions and Cedrus, as well as playing a strategic role on their executive teams to help drive company direction. While at Prolifics, a systems integrator specializing in IBM technology solutions, Devi played a major role in growing that relationship to become one of the largest and award-winning IBM business partners. At Capital Banking Solutions, Devi was responsible for global marketing, particularly in emerging markets across Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. Devi also held Product Management, Product Marketing and Sales Engineering roles and was a programmer and relational database specialist at the Philadelphia Electric Company. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Cornell University.
Gregg Guest is responsible for driving FADEL’s IP Management product strategies and growing the firm’s intellectual property practices. Gregg is an experienced thought leader on the complex topic of intellectual property and licensing, having previously worked at Debevoise & Plimpton, a corporate law firm renowned for its Media and IP practice, and Marvel Entertainment, one of the leaders in character licensing and merchandising. Gregg also brings over fifteen years of experience in IT, including the management of a custom development team at Braveline Technology. Gregg received a BFA from New York University in Film/TV & Communications, and has won numerous awards for film making and screenwriting.
Walid Daccache, Vice President of Development and Architecture
Walid Daccache heads the technology and architecture of the different products of the Intellectual Property Management Suite. Walid drives the design, development and architecture of the product, making sure that they align with the latest technology standards and are delivered with enterprise class and quality guidelines. Through his many years of experience in web application development, Walid was involved in software development, project management, product architecture, technical training and presentations. Walid led the creation and evolution of powerful tools such as Workflow, Reporting, Security, and Integration Management Systems. In addition, he closely managed the development of Master Data Management and Self Service Portal solutions. Walid also led several technical projects in the United States and Europe. Walid earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Computer Science from Notre Dame University. He is also certified in several different technologies, such as Oracle BEA development and Oracle XML Integration, IBM Smarter Commerce and Borland development.
