Accountant
Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting operations (Journal Entries)
- Perform daily banking operations (Cash and checks handling, Bankers checks, Wire Transfers)
- Daily Intercompany journal entries
- Prepare the daily Petty cash position
- Maintain and ensure the good maintenance of accounting books and systems
- Verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
- Resolve AP and AR problems with vendors and customers
- Bank Reconciliations
- Credit Card Reconciliations
- Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
- Prepare analysis of accounts as requested
- Approve and process employee expense reports
- Assist with preparing NSSF and Tax on salaries reports
- Assist with monthly payroll processing
- Support the month-end and year-end close process
- Assist in the yearly Audit process
- Maintain and interpret financial records
- Assist with the preparation, analysis, and verification of financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and adherence to reporting and audit compliance
- Monitor, analyze budget variances, and report to management the reasons for those variances.
- Ensure the accuracy of financial documents, as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
Location

Desired Skills and Experience
- 3 to 6 Years of overall professional work experience as an Accountant
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow reports)
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with advanced accounting software and other relevant computer-based tools

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
